ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISOR – SIZEWELL
Location: Sizewell C
Working pattern: 3 days per week on site, 2 days from home
Employment type: Permanent
We’re recruiting an Environmental Advisor to support Sizewell C.
This is a good opportunity for an experienced environmental professional who is comfortable working in a live construction and infrastructure environment and wants a role with a genuine hybrid working pattern.
You’ll be based around Ipswich, spending three days per week on site at Sizewell and two days working from home.
THE ROLE
You’ll provide practical environmental support to project and operational teams, helping ensure works are delivered in line with environmental legislation, project requirements and internal standards.
Responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out environmental inspections and audits
• Supporting environmental risk assessments and project planning
• Monitoring environmental compliance across site activities
• Supporting waste, pollution prevention and resource management
• Investigating environmental incidents and ensuring corrective actions are completed
• Supporting project teams with environmental procedures and documentation
• Monitoring environmental performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Working closely with site teams, contractors and other stakeholders
• Supporting environmental management systems and project objectives
• Producing environmental reports and maintaining accurate records
• Helping promote strong environmental awareness across the project
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll ideally have previous environmental experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or another operational environment.
You should also have:
• Good knowledge of UK environmental legislation
• Experience working with environmental management systems
• Strong inspection, auditing and reporting skills
• Experience supporting environmental compliance on active sites
• Good communication skills and the confidence to work with both operational teams and management
• A practical, site-focused approach rather than purely theoretical environmental experience
Experience on major infrastructure, energy or highly regulated projects would be particularly useful.

• Based at Sizewell
• 3 days per week on site
